Woman Says Army Jawan Pushed Her Car After It Ran Out Of Battery, Ensured She Reached Safely: ‘He Stayed Until I Was Safe’
A woman, whose electric vehicle discharged midway, thought she had run out of options, when help arrived to her in an unexpected way. Stranded on the roadside after her car’s battery dropped to zero, she had almost given up hope, when an Indian Army jawan stepped in, not only helping push her car to safety but also staying with her until he was certain she could continue her journey.
Deepika Sharma, a beauty and lifestyle vlogger, took to Instagram to share the kind gesture of the defence personnel. She looked visibly distressed by the entire ordeal, still she chose to document the incident and share it with her followers, praising the man for lending a helping hand to her.
In the video, she shared that she had left home with her EV charged to around 60 per cent but made some miscalculations regarding the battery power. “In the morning I left with 60% battery. I made a miscalculation on the way back.
I even switched off the car’s AC but the battery ran out," she shared.
Once her car’s battery showed 10 per cent charge, she began searching for a charging station nearby. However, despite continuing to drive, she could not locate one in time. By the time she got close to one, the battery had fallen to just 2 per cent before dying completely.
Unsure of what to do next, she approached an Indian Army personnel, identified as Mr Narendra, omly to ask for direction to the nearest charging station. Instead of simply pointing her, he chose to help her. “That man actually came, sat next to me and started helping me push the car. He’s pushing the car till the EV station," she shared, adding that the man came to help her despite the hot weather.
The woman grew emotions while recording the video, saying, “In today’s world, nobody comes to help you. And look at these people, look at them. Zero battery, this is obviously my fault but anything can happen to anyone. But you have people like him to help you out. So, salute to Indian Army. Really, salute to you. Thank you. And thank you to this man."
She Shared That He Made Sure She Was “Safe"
His act of kindness did not end there. After helping her reach the charging station, Mr Narendra did not leave immediately. He waited for nearly half an hour while the vehicle charged and then ensured she safely found her way back onto the main road.
In the caption of the post, Deepika expressed her gratitude, saying, “Some heroes don’t wear capes—they wear the Indian Army uniform. Today, I found myself stranded after my EV ran out of charge. It was my mistake, and I honestly didn’t know what to do. Then Mr. Narendra from the Indian Army stepped in without hesitation. He helped push my car to the charging station and stayed there until he was sure I was safe and could continue my journey."
She added, “Mr. Narendra, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, patience, and selfless help. I’ll never forget what you did for me today. This reel is a small token of gratitude—to you and to every member of the Indian Army who serves the nation with courage and humanity."

The video has resonated with social media users, with many praising the Army jawan’s compassion and willingness to help a complete stranger.
One user wrote, “It’s always the Indian army saving everyone in the end."
Another said, “Salute to Indian army and your courage and patience in this situation."
Someone else shared, “Salute to the Indian Army, after a long time I heard this kind gesture from one person to another person otherwise it’s really very difficult to find such kind of people."

Indian Army personnel have demonstrated kindness by pushing a stranded EV until the owner was safe, helping a woman charge her phone at a railway station, and buying all the snacks from an elderly woman's stall at a railway station.
EV drivers can better plan for battery range and charging by using planner apps like PlugShare or Tata.ev to find fast chargers. It is advisable to consider the actual range to be about 70% of the manufacturer's claimed range.
