Woman Flees With Children’s Teacher, Husband Files Complaint With Their ‘Kiss Selfie’: ‘Don’t Want Her Back’
A married woman leaving her home, husband and two young children to elope with her children's tuition teacher has triggered outrage and intense discussion on the internet. The incident came to light after a video surfaced on X showing the woman's husband speaking directly to the camera, holding a file filled with documents and photographs of his family.
Visibly distraught but composed, he shared his side of the story in clear words. He said, “My name is Manish Tiwari. My wife's name is Roshni Rani. Shubham Kumar Mehta, who is the tuition master, would come to our house. She eloped with him, leaving me and our two kids behind. Now I don't want her back."
According to the man, the teacher used tuition classes as a reason to frequently visit their home. He said his wife's sudden disappearance came as a shock as there had been no visible signs of trouble in the household. The couple has two small children and Manish reportedly worked as a daily wage labourer to support the family.
The video quickly went viral, drawing strong reactions from viewers. Many expressed questioned how trust inside a home could be broken so completely, while others criticised the teacher, saying someone entrusted with shaping young minds should not betray a family's faith.
Similar Incident In April
A similar case had surfaced online earlier this year. A woman named Sapna Devi from Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh had eloped, not with a stranger but with her would-be son-in-law. Her daughter, Shivani, was scheduled to marry Rahul on April 16. Wedding invitations had already been printed and preparations were underway. Just days before the wedding, on April 8, Sapna Devi allegedly left her home with cash and jewellery. Around the same time, Rahul also went missing.
Woman Firm On Her Decision
The matter came to light when the woman's husband, Jitendra Kumar, filed a missing person complaint. When the couple later returned, Aligarh police said they had counselled them for nearly 12 hours. Officials made the woman speak to her husband and family but she remained firm in her decision to stay with Rahul. Since both were adults, the police eventually allowed them to leave together.
While the law may treat the incidents as choices made by consenting adults, society continues to struggle between the dilemma of personal freedom and responsibility.
