Woman Books ‘Uber Monkey’ In Dubai For Rs 1.2 Lakh To Cover 15 Minutes Distance: ‘He Came In Lamborghini’

Uber offers many types of rides around the world, from small economy cars to luxury vehicles. But in Dubai, things have taken a very unusual turn. A social media creator recently shared a video of her booking a ride called Uber Monkey, which has left viewers amazed and confused. Many are debating whether the clip is real or created using AI, but it looks convincing. In the short video, the influencer shows the ride costing 4,968 AED (approximately Rs 1 Lakh) for just a 15-minute trip.

The surprising moment comes next, when a monkey opens the door of a Lamborghini Urus and sits in the driver's seat. The content creator jokingly talks about trusting the monkey as her driver while admiring the car's all-red interior. She shares her nervousness before the ride, while also hoping she gets to the hotel safely.

Dubai Uber Takes A Wild Turn

Sharing the video on Instagram, the content creator wrote, “Here's how Uber works in Dubai. So I chose this Uber Monkey. My Uber is here, I love that it's the Urus, I love that car and he seems like a good driver, I think I should trust, but I didn't check his licence, I don't even know if he has a licence. I trust him, he seems like a nice man and he really has good taste too. I really love the inside of the car, all red and I really hope he doesn't crash. We're 15 minutes away from my hotel. I really hope he doesn't crash. But I think I'm gonna trust him."

In the caption, she wrote, “Dubai is on another level."

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Is it real or AI? I think it's AI."

Another asked, “Is that even legal?"

“You will get an iPhone for this much money," a comment read.

One more added, “Gave this guy a one star after he stopped at a grocery store for bananas."

Another Viral Uber Ride From Dubai

In 2024, another Uber ride went viral from Dubai, showing a woman booking an Uber Camel in the desert. In the clip, the woman said they got lost and checked the app, only to find a camel available. Soon after, a man named Deepak arrived with an animal to pick them up. They were surprised and excited after actually getting a camel ride. However, it was unclear if the video was real or just a promotional clip.

Turns out, the video was a smart promotional ad for a local tour company, Jetset Dubai, which offers tourists the option to book camel rides. The video also mentioned that the ride took place at Al Badayer, near the Dubai-Hatta Road in Dubai.
