Wakefit IPO price band set

Mattress and furniture maker Wakefit has announced the price band for its upcoming initial public offering. The company filed its red herring prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on November 30.

The IPO will open on December 8 and close on December 10, with the shares expected to list around December 15 on both the NSE and BSE.

Key numbers to know

Total IPO size: Rs 1,288 crore Price band: Rs 185–195 per share at a face value of Re 1 Fresh issue: Rs 377.18 croreEarlier, in its draft prospectus filed on 27 June, the company had planned to raise Rs 468 crore through fresh shares.

Offer for sale (OFS): 4.67 crore shares, worth up to Rs 910.65 crore, giving early investors a partial exitUse of proceeds:

The share allotment is likely to be finalised on December 11. Investors can apply for a minimum of 76 shares, with further bids in multiples of this number.

Axis Capital, IIFL Capital and Nomura are leading the issue, and MUFG Intime India will act as the registrar.

About the company

Founded in 2016, Wakefit began as a brand focused on sleep products such as mattresses, pillows and bed frames. It has since grown into a broader home solutions company, selling furniture, including sofas, dining sets, wardrobes, desks and storage units.

The company earned Rs 724 crore in revenue and Rs 35.5 crore in net profit in the six months ended September 30. For FY25, it reported Rs 1,274 crore in revenue and a Rs 35 crore loss.

Wakefit entered offline retail in 2022 and, as of September, operates 125 stores.
