Vinod Khanna Got Candid About His Need For Sex, Said 'I'm No Saint As Far As Women Are Concerned' | Watch
Late veteran actor Vinod Khanna has been in the news since his son, Akshaye Khanna, appeared in Dhurandhar and did a similar dance step as him for his entry scene. Amid this, an old clip of Vinod Khanna is going viral for the late legend's candour. In the resurfaced clip, Vinod Khanna reflected on his need for intimacy and sex. His candidness was appreciated by many in the comments.
Vinod Khanna reflected on his past relationships and said, “Well, I was a bachelor, and I am no saint as far as women are concerned. I need sex as much as anybody else does." He added, “Without women, we won't be here, without sex we won't be here, so why should anybody object to my being with women?"
Watch the clip here:
While Vinod Khanna was known for being honest and bold, his son, Akshaye Khanna, remains tight-lipped about his personal life. Over the years, he has been linked to actresses like Karisma Kapoor and Tara Sharma, but he never spoke about the alleged relationships in detail. He always maintained that Tara is a long-time friend.
Vinod and Akshaye also have another dissimilarity. Vinod Khanna got married twice in his life. First, he tied the knot with Geetanjali Khanna (Akshaye Khanna's mother) in 1971. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1985, during the period when Vinod Khanna had stepped away from films and joined Osho's ashram. He married Kavita Khanna in 1990.
Unlike his father, Akshaye Khanna never got married. “I like to live a very carefree life. I don't like responsibility, and there is no bigger responsibility than having children. There is no bigger responsibility than being accountable for a wife or a family. That is the ultimate responsibility for any man, and I don't want that responsibility. I am happy alone with no responsibility, nobody I have to take care of, nobody I have to worry about. I only have to worry about myself. It is a fantastic life," he once told Bollywood Hungama.
In many old interviews, Akshaye Khanna had expressed that he didn't feel like he was marriage material. While some reports claim that he nearly got married to Karisma Kapoor, the actor never confirmed this speculation.
