US Woman Caught Peeing In Udaipur Lake? The Truth Behind The Crazy Video
A foreign woman drew widespread attention online after a startling moment on a boat caught viewers off guard. In a video that circulated widely, she grips the side of the boat and balances with her hips above the water as she relieves herself openly.
Many social media users claimed that the clip showed an American tourist defecating in India's Udaipur Lake. These claims, combined with the unusual visuals, sparked outrage online with people debating how tourists should behave and what responsibilities visitors have in public spaces.
What Happened In Video
In the clip, the woman holds on to the side of the boat with both hands. Her pants are pulled partially down and her T-shirt is lifted slightly. She leans backwards just enough to maintain a squat-like posture over the water. She is seen relieving herself. In the video, a crocodile can be seen swimming nearby.
Viewers Slam Woman's Actions
As soon as the video made its way online, many users criticised the woman for her disrespectful and unhygienic behaviour.
One user commented, “She skipped the class for civic sense."
Another remarked, “Imagine if an Indian does the same thing abroad."
“Please deport her back for spoiling our place in the name of tourism," someone demanded.
A person expressed extreme anger, writing, “Wasn't there a bowl on the boat she could poop into if it was an urgency? What filthy behavior is this? She should be jailed and fined. Or is she from the streets in USA??? Go spew filth their woman, this ain't your homeland. Arrest her and fine her heavily!!!"
Alongside the criticism, a few users viewed the video from a different perspective with an individual writing, “Anyone consider whether this was a bathroom emergency and there was no toilet on the boat and maybe it was a last resort?"
“If the boat management cannot provide a toilet, what should she do?" read another comment.
The Truth Behind The Clip
Contrary to the viral claims, the woman is not an American tourist in India. She is Ellie Jean Coffrey, an Australian athlete and model. Ellie shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “Holding on for dear life." Her other posts confirm that the lake is actually in Australia. It is Lake Argyle, located in Kimberley near the town of Kununurra.
In another clip from the same place, Ellie points out a crocodile in the water, saying, “Look at him staring..aww..chilling on here with an old mate. Probably, they stalk up here so I peed on the side. Now he is right at me to go again. Who's caught following us everywhere." While this confirms that the footage was taken in Australia and not Udaipur, she is still seen relieving herself in the water in the video.
