Upcoming cars in March 2026: New Renault Duster, Skoda Kushaq facelift and more
March 2026 will witness an influx of cars in India in the form of the all-new Renault Duster, the facelifted Skoda Kushaq and more. Why does this matter to Indian buyers is because within the space of one month, there will be new or revamped cars for almost all the key segments from compact SUVs to performance luxury. The March launch schedule reveals a mix of both fresh generational and mid-cycle updation ready for the market. The releases spread across a range of mass-market and premium cars, and it also showcases why makers are releasing new cars just before the new financial year and festive season sales cycle kicks in.
The third-generation Duster from Renault is set to return to India on March 17 as the brand will announce the car’s prices. The 2026 Duster is built on Renault’s new global Dacia-based platform and design language. It will offer two turbo petrol engine options as well as a strong-hybrid option. The relaunch puts the model back in competition with the likes of Hyundai’s Creta and Kia’s Seltos in the midsize SUV segment.
Skoda plans to launch the Kushaq facelift in March 2026 with some changes to the design and features. The exterior styling changes and updated interior technology will be there but it will keep the same MQB-A0-IN platform and the engine options also stay. The mid-cycle revision of the Kushaq will help it keep pace with the newer players in the compact SUV segment without any changes in its mechanical basis. The pricing and variants are expected to be updated along with the visual and equipment changes.
We will also see the arrival of the new Audi SQ8 performance SUV next month. This move comes as a strategy to expand its flagship Q8 lineup with a new sporty model that sits between the Q8 and RS Q8. The car will be powered by 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with quattro all-wheel drive and automatic transmission, with output significantly higher than the regular Q8. It is also expected to be priced in the Rs 1.5-2 crore range and target the luxury performance SUV segment.
Nissan’s upcoming Tekton SUV is also scheduled to be launched in March 2026, which will be the next locally developed mid-size SUV for the Indian market. It will be sharing its underpinnings of CMF-B platform with the upcoming Renault Duster. It will be slotted in the price range of Rs 11-18 lakh, where it will directly compete against other mid-size SUVs like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Toyota Ebella electric SUV’s India price announcement is also expected in March 2026, marking the brand’s entry in the mass-market EV segment. The electric SUV will feature 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery variants along with a single electric motor. It will have a claimed range of up to 543 km. Estimated prices suggest that the electric SUV will fall in the range of Rs 16 to 20 lakh, targeting the mass-market electric SUV buyers.
