UP Board Exam 2026 Guidelines: The UP 10th and 12th board exams are starting from February 18th. To ensure the safe and fair conduct of the UP Board Exams 2026, the state government has issued guidelines, including some changes to the rules. Under the new rules, students appearing for the board exams will not have to remove their shoes and socks during frisking. Furthermore, female staff will be compulsorily deployed for frisking girl students.

CCTV surveillance and special arrangements for frisking
Previously, there were instances of inappropriate behavior towards students during frisking in the UP Board exams. For example, parents and students protested against the system of making students remove their shoes and socks for frisking. Keeping this in mind, the UP Board has made special arrangements for frisking, under which students will not have to remove their shoes and socks during the process. Female students will be frisked only by female staff. To avoid any unpleasant situations, instructions have been given to monitor the examination centers with CCTV and audio recording.
Recording to be preserved for 30 days, mobile phones prohibited
According to the guidelines issued for the UP Board Exam 2026, the CCTV footage will be preserved for 30 days. No teacher or staff member will be allowed to carry mobile phones or other digital devices inside the examination center. These devices must be deposited outside the center.
18 districts declared highly sensitive, two inspections
In view of the UP Board examinations, 20 districts of the state have been categorized as highly sensitive. This decision has been taken to conduct the board examinations without cheating. The examination centers in these 20 highly sensitive districts will be inspected twice on the day of the examination. Jammers will also be installed at 20 examination centers in the state. The Chief Secretary issued these instructions through video conferencing on Wednesday.
