University of Liverpool Begins Admission For Bengaluru Campus Set To Open In 2026
The University of Liverpool has revealed its new Bengaluru campus location as Alembic City. Student admission for the inaugural 2026 cohort has begun, with programmes available in Computer Science, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Biomedical Sciences, and Game Design.
The campus will offer a cutting-edge, comprehensive learning environment for the University's first batch of students in Bengaluru. It will feature smart classrooms that enhance experiential engagement, case-based teaching, and flipped classroom methods, the university stated in an official press release.
Additionally, research and innovation spaces, along with collaborative learning hubs, will promote cross-disciplinary learning and industry interaction.
To celebrate this milestone, Lucy Everest, Chief Operating Officer at the University of Liverpool, visited Mumbai and Bengaluru from November 15 to 19. She met with educators, school leaders, and prospective students and delivered a keynote address at a School Leaders' Conference in Mumbai.
Lucy Everest expressed her delight over her visit, stating, “It has been a pleasure to spend time in Bengaluru and Mumbai this week, meeting educators, alumni, and applicants who are excited about the University of Liverpool arriving in India. We are looking forward to welcoming our inaugural cohort of talented students in 2026 and providing them with an exceptional learning experience that strengthens their skills and employability. Alembic City is the perfect place to realise this vision, and our new campus will provide our students with the very best facilities to support their learning journey with us."

The University will also establish a significant research presence in India, focusing on fundamental, applied, and industry-led research that addresses shared challenges between the two nations, such as sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, and health sciences, the university added.
The Bengaluru campus will also feature an embedded co-working hub for faculty, entrepreneurs, and student teams, facilitating seamless knowledge exchange between the university and industry, the notice added.
