'Time Has Come For All Hindus To Uplift Sanatan Dharma': RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday called for unity among Hindus, saying the moment had arrived to strengthen and uplift Sanatan Dharma.
Addressing a gathering in Ranga Reddy district, Bhagwat said India's role as a Vishwaguru is not merely an aspiration but a responsibility the world needs today. He added that the RSS is working steadily towards this goal through social and cultural efforts.
“Time has come for all Hindus to unite and uplift Sanatan Dharma," Bhagwat said.
He referred to early 20th-century spiritual leader Yogi Arvind, noting that the idea of Sanatan Dharma's resurgence had been envisioned long ago. Bhagwat said the process that began a century ago must now be carried forward with commitment and collective effort.

“That time has now come. 100 years ago, when Yogi Arvind declared that the resurgence of Sanatana Dharma is God's will, and that the rise of the Hindu nation is for the resurgence of Sanatana Dharma. Bharat or the Hindu nation, and Sanatana Dharma, Hindutva, are synonymous. He indicated that this process had begun. Now we have to continue that process…"
The RSS chief said organisations linked to the Sangh in India and abroad share a common objective — to organise Hindu society and set an example of a value-based, disciplined life for the world to follow.
“We are seeing that the efforts of the Sangh in India and the efforts of Hindu Swayamsevak Sanghs in their respective countries are the same, that is, to organise the Hindu community… to set examples of people leading a religious life…"
Speaking on India's global role, Bhagwat stressed that becoming a Vishwaguru would require sustained effort across multiple fields. He said the RSS contributes by focusing on character-building and social responsibility, which has helped its volunteers gain public trust.
“We will have to do the work of becoming a ‘Vishwaguru' again. It is not our ambition to become a ‘Vishwaguru'. It is the need of the world that we become ‘Vishwaguru'. One of them is also the Sangh."
He also addressed the growing influence of technology, including artificial intelligence, and cautioned against its misuse. Bhagwat said technology should serve humanity, not control it, and must be guided by ethical values.

The speech highlighted the RSS's vision of combining spiritual values with modern progress, while urging society to lead by example rather than words alone.
