This Man Asks Ryanair For Free Ticket After Clicking ‘Amazing’ Mid-air Photo — Airline’s Reply Says It all
Ryanair is back in the spotlight and this time it is because of their insanely funny reply to a passenger. The budget airline responded to a post in which a passenger shared a clear mid flight photo showing an aerial view of Rome, the plane's wing and a bright blue sky. The individual also mentioned that he was sure the airline would reward him with a free flight ticket. The airline was not impressed by the attempt.
Instead of a long reply, Ryanair responded with just one word, “No." The short and straightforward answer instantly caught attention online as many turned the moment into a joke fest. Some users laughed at the airline's most honest reply, while others said Ryanair should charge the passenger extra for his next trip. A few even shared ideas about how they would have replied more politely.
Passenger's Photo Fails To Impress Ryanair
In the post circulating on X, a passenger wrote, “Hey Ryanair, I took a photo of Rome from your plane. Could you give me a free ticket for this amazing photo?" The airline team was quick to notice the post and instead of ignoring it, they simply replied, “No."

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Only two types of people respond with just ‘no': teenagers and geniuses."
Another suggested, “Charge him double for the next flight."
“Why is Intern so biased? Hey Ryanair CEO, I know you're reading this, but please protect the intern at all costs and 5x his salary. Thanks to him, you have become popular," a comment read.
An individual stated, “Man took a stunning aerial photo of Rome and Ryanair saw it and said, ‘That'll be €12.99 to keep'."
Another mentioned, “If only he had taken the photo whilst hanging off the wing, he might have got a free coffee."
One more added, “That is a breathtaking view. There is nothing quite like catching that first glimpse of the Eternal City from above, it is exactly why we love the window seat as much as you do. While we truly appreciate you sharing such a fantastic shot with us, we aren't able to offer complimentary tickets in exchange for photos. We do, however, keep our fares as low as possible so you can fly back and capture even more memories very soon. More polite ways of declining the request other than saying ‘No'."
Airline's Seat Rules
Ryanair often makes headlines for how it handles seat selection on its flights. Passengers who do not pay extra for choosing a seat are given one automatically by the system. This means they may get any seat available, even ones near the wall that do not have a window.

The airline gives travellers two choices. One option is to pick a seat by paying an extra fee. With this, passengers can select where they want to sit and that seat stays booked for them. The other option is to skip the payment and accept a seat randomly allowed to them during check in.
People who choose a random seat can check in between 24 hours and 2 hours before the flight. Those who pay for a seat can check in much earlier, up to 60 days before departure. The cost of a chosen seat depends on its position inside the plane, such as the window, aisle or front rows.
