The Sweetest Bridgerton Review On The Internet Comes From This Dadi: ‘Ek Ladki Hai, Vo Bhut Sundar Hai...’
If Lady Whistledown had competition from India, it would be this cutest, no-nonsense dadi who is all over the Internet for her take on Bridgerton. A viral clip titled “OG dadi reacts to Bridgerton" is currently winning hearts online, proving that Regency-era romance has officially crossed generations and languages, thanks to this grandmother’s desi recap of Bridgerton.
In the video posted on social media, the elderly woman is seen being quizzed by a younger family member after watching the popular Netflix show. When asked, “You were watching Bridgerton yesterday? Yes? So how did you like it?" she responds with certainty, “I liked it."
The woman behind the camera then questions her, “What was the story in it? Tell me." Dadi begins her summary in the most straightforward way possible: “There is a girl, that girl is very beautiful. She is very beautiful. The queen wants her son to get married, but he loves only one girl and constantly runs after her."
Curious about what she thinks happens next, the interviewer asks, “So what do you think? When the next episode of Bridgerton comes, will they be able to meet each other?" Dadi confidently predicts, “Yes, they will. Because of the gloves. The girl will recognise him as her boyfriend. They will get married."
When asked whether she had watched all four episodes, she replies, “Yes." When asked about her favourite character, she says she liked Sophie the most. The best part? Instead of Sophie, she ends up calling the character “Showpiece."

Dadi’s First Ever English Show
Interestingly, this was the first English show the elderly woman had ever watched, and she liked it. As the one behind the camera continued with another question, “Did you like Bridgerton?" the elder woman was quick enough to admit that she is waiting for the next part and will watch all the remaining three seasons as well.
Internet Has Love And Only Love For Dadi
The Internet, of course, couldn’t get enough. One user wrote, “My mom also liked it, arranged marriage krwate hai na isliye bhut relatable tha for my mom."
Another commented, “Her eyes are twinkling while talking about the show. She’s so so cute.."
An individual said, “Mujhe adopt karlo. I love you daddi." One fan demanded, “Dadi should react to season 2!!! We literally have Kathani Sharma!!!." And someone cheekily added, “Umm excuse me. your dadi is right, it is dastana not glove."
With her wholesome recap, OG Dadi has officially stolen the spotlight from Lady Whistledown.
