Telangana Kite And Sweet Festival Advisory: Malkajgiri Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for January 13 to 15, in view of the International Kite and Sweet Festival at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. Special traffic restrictions and parking arrangements will be in place during the event.
The Malkajgiri Traffic Police have announced that vehicle movement between CTO Cross Roads, Plaza Junction, and Tivoli Junction may be regulated or diverted between 10 am and 10 pm, depending on crowd density. Motorists are likely to face congestion at major junctions, including CTO, Plaza, Tivoli, Picket, Secunderabad Club, NCC, YMCA, SBI, Sweekar Upkar, Balamrai, Tadbund, and surrounding areas.
Restricted Routes: The public is advised to avoid roads around Parade Grounds during festival hours. Commuters traveling to Secunderabad Railway Station or Jubilee Bus Station are encouraged to start early and use Metro Rail services wherever possible.
Designated parking has been arranged at Gymkhana Exhibition Ground, Gymkhana Cricket Ground, Sports Authority of Telangana State premises, and Dhobighat. A shuttle service will operate from Dhobighat to Parade Grounds. Ride-hailing users are requested to use pick-up and drop-off points at Paradise Metro Station, Tivoli, SBI, and Sweekar Upkar Junctions.
The general public can enter through West Gate-1 and East Gate No 11. Ride-hailing users, including Ola, Uber, and Rapido, are advised to use designated pick-up and drop-off points at Paradise Metro Station, Tivoli Junction, SBI Junction, and Sweekar Upkar Junction.

The festival will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao at 4 pm and will feature international participation, with 40 professional kite flyers from 19 countries and 55 national flyers from 15 Indian states.
Additionally, a hot air balloon festival will take place at Parade Grounds from January 16-18, between 4 pm and 9 pm. A two-day drone festival is also scheduled at Gachibowli Stadium on January 16 and 17, with displays running from 9:30 am to 8 pm.
