Tejasswi Prakash Arrives Late, Refuses Joint Promotions With Surbhi Chandna; Here's What Happened
Massive drama unfolded recently when a promotional media interaction for an upcoming show on MX Player took an unexpected turn. As reported by SCREEN, the event was scheduled for Friday morning and media personnel reached the venue on time. Initially, everything appeared to be proceeding as scheduled. The publicity team informed the media that actors Anud Singh Dhaka and Surbhi Chandna had arrived and were ready for interviews, while Tejasswi Prakash was running late due to a wardrobe issue and would join shortly.
However, minutes stretched into nearly an hour as members of the publicity team were seen holding tense discussions behind the scenes. Eventually, the media was told that Tejasswi would not be arriving immediately. Soon after, the Bigg Boss winner’s publicist reached the venue and held conversations with the platform’s team.
Journalists were then informed that the actress was not willing to participate in joint interviews with Surbhi and had sought assurance that interactions would be conducted separately for her.
When some of the media persons asked about the situation, MX Player team revealed that the interview lineup had been shared two days in advance and no objections were raised at the time. “Tejasswi and her team were informed about the lineup two days in advance; however, they raised no objections then. It was only at the eleventh hour that this concern was brought to us, and it put us in a spot where we couldn’t do much," the team said.
After some time, Tejasswi arrived but went straight to her makeup room. The MX Player team attempted to mediate the situation, and Surbhi Chandna was called inside for discussions. After the discussion, Surbhi stepped out to conduct the first interview alongside Anud Singh Dhaka but appeared visibly upset. Shortly after, she reportedly left the venue in tears. Tejasswi later emerged to continue with the remaining interviews.
During the interactions, Tejasswi was informed that the team would have to take a short break after two more interviews. The actress refused a break and insisted that she finish her interviews back-to-back. Tensions were further noticeable during interactions, especially as Anud — who had been present since morning — had not yet taken a lunch break. In a moment of frustration, he remarked that he would continue despite exhaustion, adding that everyone seemed to be there “only for Tejasswi."
Surprisingly, Tejasswi also cancelled other interactions, saying she was running late for an iftar engagement.
