Tecno has added a new smartphone to its portfolio of mid-range smartphones in India with the launch of the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G. It comes after the Pova Curve 5G smartphone was first unveiled in the country in May last year.
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G sports a huge 6.78-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2364 pixels. The display also has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz with a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits for better viewing indoors and outdoors. Tecno claims a 93.18 percent screen-to-body ratio, while protection is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The curved design gives the phone a premium look despite its large battery size.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with the Arm G610 MC2 GPU for graphics processing.It comes with 8GB of physical RAM and supports up to 8GB of additional virtual RAM, taking the total usable memory to 16GB. Storage options go up to 256GB. On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 with Tecno’s HiOS 16 skin on top.
In terms of photography, the phone features a dual camera at its rear, referred to as a camera system. This camera system features a 50 megapixel camera, in addition to an extra 2 megapixel camera.The phone’s front camera is rated at 13 megapixels, which is ideal for selfie photography.
One of the biggest highlights of the device is the massive 8,000mAh battery life the device comes with. The phone can provide up to 16.4 hours of video streaming on a single charge, as claimed by Tecno. It also has fast charging support of 45W, and the device comes with a 45W adapter.Despite the large battery, the phone weighs 192 grams and measures 7.42mm in thickness.
The smartphone supports dual nano SIM cards and 5G connectivity.It measures 162.68 x 77.15 x 7.42mm and is offered in Storm Titanium, Melting Silver and Mystic Purple colour options.
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is available in two variants. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at ₹27,999, while the 256GB storage variant costs ₹29,999. Sales will begin on February 20 at 12 noon via Flipkart. Tecno is also offering a bank discount of ₹3,000 as part of launch offers.
With a high-refresh-rate curved AMOLED display, a large battery and a capable Dimensity chipset, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is positioned as a feature-packed option for users looking for long battery life and a premium screen experience in the mid-range segment.
