Tata Communications Q3 FY26 results: Revenue up 6.7%; net profit jumps 42% – Check details
Tata Communications Ltd on Wednesday announced its consolidated financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, reporting year-on-year growth across revenue, operating profit and net profit, supported by higher data revenue and improved margins.
For the third quarter of FY26, the company's gross revenue rose 6.7 per cent year-on-year to Rs 6,189 crore, compared with Rs 5,798 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Data revenue increased 9.3 per cent to Rs 5,359 crore from Rs 4,903 crore a year ago, reflecting continued traction in the company's data-led businesses.
Income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 6,188.97 crore, up from Rs 5,798.07 crore in Q3 FY25. Total income increased to Rs 6,448.26 crore from Rs 5,826.80 crore in the same period last year.
Total expenses rose to Rs 5,913.57 crore from Rs 5,441.15 crore, in line with business growth and ongoing investments.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter came in at Rs 1,228 crore, registering a year-on-year increase of 4 per cent from Rs 1,181 crore in Q3 FY25.
EBITDA margin stood at 19.8 per cent, compared with 20.4 per cent in the year-ago quarter, reflecting a contraction of 52 basis points. The company said data EBITDA margin was at 18.9 per cent during the quarter.
Net profit after tax (PAT) rose sharply to Rs 365.28 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with Rs 235.96 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, marking a year-on-year growth of 42.3 per cent.
PAT margin improved to 5.9 per cent from 4.4 per cent in Q3 FY25, an expansion of 148 basis points. The company said PAT nearly doubled on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
Commenting on the performance, A.S. Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Communications, said, “This quarter's performance reflects our disciplined focus on driving data-led growth with expanding margins and a healthy order book. We are gaining momentum across the business, and the capability shift we have invested in is now clearly translating into stronger products and sharper execution for customers.”
He added that with multiple launches planned, the company is well positioned to build sustainably and accelerate the next phase of growth.
Chief Financial Officer Kabir Ahmed Shakir said the company delivered a strong performance during the quarter. “Q3 has been a strong quarter with robust revenue growth and steadily improving margins, reflecting disciplined execution across the business,” he said.
He added that the company's continued focus on capital efficiency has strengthened the balance sheet and is supporting its growth priorities. “We are confident of our direction and our ‘Fit to Grow' strategy allows us to build on the momentum we are seeing across,” Shakir said.
The company highlighted that its digital portfolio recorded a year-on-year growth of 15 per cent during the quarter, supporting overall data revenue growth. Tata Communications said its performance in Q3 FY26 reflects sustained demand for data, cloud and digital services, alongside a focus on operational efficiency.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, Tata Communications reported gross revenue of Rs 6,189 crore, data revenue of Rs 5,359 crore, EBITDA of Rs 1,228 crore and net profit of Rs 365.28 crore. The company said it remains focused on executing its long-term strategy while maintaining discipline on costs and capital allocation.
