Indian markets will track a mix of quarterly earnings, IPO launches, defence orders, business updates and regulatory developments on Monday, 17 August. Patanjali Foods, Voltas, NMDC, Cochin Shipyard and several other companies will remain in focus after reporting their Q1 FY27 results, while Reliance Industries, M&M, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and UPL are among the stocks with key corporate updates.
Patanjali Foods reported a strong Q1 FY27 performance, with consolidated revenue rising 29.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 11,337 crore. EBITDA increased 69 per cent to Rs 542.8 crore, while EBITDA margin improved to 4.8 per cent from 3.7 per cent. PAT jumped 87 per cent to Rs 336 crore. The company said improved gross margins supported its performance. FMCG revenue grew 35.4 per cent, while edible oil revenue increased 27.3 per cent. The company will hold its earnings call at 9:30 am on Monday.
Voltas reported Q1 FY27 consolidated revenue of Rs 4,674 crore, up 18.7 per cent year-on-year, but the numbers were below estimates. EBITDA rose 48.8 per cent to Rs 266 crore, while margin improved to 5.7 per cent from 4.5 per cent. PAT increased 52.2 per cent to Rs 214 crore. Revenue and EBITDA were below estimates of Rs 5,068 crore and Rs 325 crore, respectively. The company said it had a 17.3 per cent secondary market share in room air conditioners up to June 2026, while its UCP business delivered 33 per cent growth.

NMDC reported mixed Q1 FY27 standalone numbers. Revenue rose 2.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 6,795 crore, while EBITDA declined marginally to Rs 2,470 crore. EBITDA margin stood at 36.4 per cent against 37.4 per cent a year earlier. PAT increased 2 per cent to Rs 2,007 crore. Other income rose to Rs 347 crore from Rs 298 crore, while royalty and other levies increased to Rs 3,495 crore from Rs 2,680 crore. Iron ore segment revenue increased 10 per cent to Rs 6,802 crore.
Cochin Shipyard reported a weak Q1 FY27 performance. Consolidated revenue increased 2.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,094 crore, but EBITDA fell 20 per cent to Rs 193 crore. EBITDA margin declined to 17.6 per cent from 22.6 per cent, while PAT fell 19.4 per cent to Rs 151 crore. Material costs increased sharply, accounting for 41 per cent of revenue compared with 30 per cent a year earlier. Shipbuilding revenue grew 60 per cent, while ship repair revenue declined 37 per cent.
Indo-MIM will be in focus as the company features on the cash-market results radar. Investors will track its Q1 FY27 performance and management commentary on demand and margins.
Lalithaa Jewellery Mart’s IPO will open for subscription on Monday, 17 August and remain open until 19 August. The price band has been fixed at Rs 190-201 per share, with a lot size of 74 shares. The issue size is Rs 1,700 crore, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 1,200 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 500 crore. Details of anchor investors and the amount raised from them are yet to be updated.

Horizon Industrial Parks’ IPO will also open on 17 August and close on 19 August. The price band has been fixed at Rs 57-60 per share, with a lot size of 250 shares. The company is raising Rs 2,600 crore through the issue, entirely through a fresh issue. Details of anchor investors are yet to be updated.
GMR Airports reported a 0.04 per cent year-on-year increase in passenger traffic to 93.12 lakh in July. Aircraft movements declined 1.5 per cent to 58,314. Investors will track the passenger and aircraft movement trends for the company’s airport operations.
Reliance Industries is reportedly planning a strategic partnership with Rolls-Royce for fighter aircraft engine development. The proposed collaboration is linked to India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft programme and could involve the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of an indigenous combat aircraft engine.
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories said the USFDA has completed inspections at its Bachupally, Hyderabad facility. The regulator issued four observations through Form 483, and the company said it will respond to them within the stipulated timeframe. Separately, the USFDA inspection at its API facility in Mirfield, UK, has been completed with a VAI, or Voluntary Action Indicated, classification.
Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the BE 6 SporteQ electric SUV. The vehicle has an introductory price of Rs 11.45 lakh with the Battery-as-a-Service option, while the battery cost is Rs 3.75 per km. It will be available in eight variants and 12 colour options.

UPL’s subsidiary Advanta Holdings is set to acquire Egypt-based Misr Hytech Seed for around Rs 1,052 crore, or $110 million. Advanta BV will acquire a 99.98 per cent stake in the company. The deal is aimed at strengthening Advanta’s presence in the Middle East and Africa corn-seed market and is expected to close by 31 January 2027.
Ola Electric has launched its battery energy storage system portfolio in India. The portfolio includes Ola Shakti for homes, Shakti Rack for commercial and industrial applications, and Mahashakti for utility-scale energy storage. The three products were launched on 15 August.
