Special registration drive for Shram Yogi Maandhan and NPS Traders schemes from January 15
Mangaluru: A special registration drive has been launched from January 15 to March 15 to enrol workers from the unorganised sector, traders and self-employed persons under the Central government's Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana and NPS Traders schemes.
Unorganised sector workers aged between 18 and 40 years are eligible to register under these schemes. Based on age, beneficiaries are required to contribute a monthly amount ranging from ₹55 to ₹200. An equal contribution will be made by the Central government, and the combined amount will be credited to the beneficiary's bank account. After attaining the age of 60 years, beneficiaries will be entitled to a monthly pension of ₹3,000.
Eligible beneficiaries include MGNREGA workers, self-help group members, agricultural labourers, anganwadi workers, mid-day meal workers, ASHA workers, street vendors, domestic workers, fishermen and other unorganised sector workers and traders. They can register at nearby Common Service Centres by submitting their Aadhaar card, bank passbook and the first month's contribution.
