Addressing rallies in Barpeta, Hojai and Dibrugarh for the upcoming assembly election, PM Modi said the special Parliamentary session on the women's quota law is set to start April 16. "We have discussed this with all political parties, though some are trying to obstruct it. The representation of those states that have worked to control the population will not be reduced."
KOKRAJHAR: To strengthen women's role in the Assam assembly, 33% reservation has been made for them, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, adding they should this have right in full by the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
