Soha Ali Khan Pushes Herself In The Gym, Jokingly Shares Trainer Is Preparaing Her For Survival
Soha Ali Khan loves her workouts. She can always be spotted entering the gym, getting her workout done, either with her husband, actor Kunal Khemu, or even sharing her workout routines on social media.
The actor has shared beginner-friendly workouts, videos on using household items to exercise, guides on perfecting push-ups and more. Recently, Soha emphasised the importance of fitness and pushing your body to its limit and shared a gym workout video on Instagram, where she can be seen indulging in some super strenuous exercises.
She humorously captioned it, “I think my trainer is confusing strength training with survival training." In the video, Soha is seen engaging in strength training alongside others, lifting weights, and performing cardio and mobility exercises.
After seeing the burn she was getting from her workout, several of her industry friends shared words of support in the comments. Actor Dia Mirza wrote, “You are incredible!!!" Actor and host Mini Mathur commented, “sohaaaaaaa!!!!! i want to be you when i become young (sic)", while dancer Lauren Gottlieb wrote, “Soha working out for everyone in the gym!!!! Let's go (sic)".
If you want to recreate the workout routine that Soha Ali Khan was doing in the video, we have broken down the exercises:
Firstly, Soha executed a sideward roll exercise, which involves rolling from the back or hands and knees to the side and back up, enhancing core strength and spinal mobility.
Next, she performed a sliding bar push-up, where her feet slid towards and away from her while in a push-up position, increasing core stability more than a regular push-up.
Following this, Soha did a pull-up with one leg elevated on a different machine. This compound exercise combines a pull-up with leg support, making it easier or adding assistance for more repetitions.
She then moved on to a knee jump mobility exercise, beginning by standing on one leg with the other bent or behind her, kneeling on a single knee, and using her hands for balance. This exercise builds lower-body power and tones muscles like the quads, glutes, hip flexors, and core.
Next, she lifted and flipped weights while walking, and leaned against a wall to activate her lower body in a squat form, combining strength and mobility.
Finally, Soha performed a halo or “plate around the world" exercise, rotating a weight plate around her head with her shoulders, toning them effectively.
