Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have postponed their wedding indefinitely after Mandhana's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart attack on November 23, 2025.
New Delhi: The wedding ceremony of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been postponed after the cricketer's father suffered a heart attack. Smriti Mandhana's father, Srinivas Mandhana, reportedly suffered the attack while preparations were underway at the Mandhana Farm House in Samdol, Sangli.
Smriti's business manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed that her father was rushed to a private hospital. The wedding has now been postponed indefinitely, and it remains unclear when the ceremony will resume. Srinivas Mandhana is currently admitted for urgent treatment.
As of now, his condition is stable and he remains under observation, though an official confirmation from the family is awaited.

Mishra said, “Today in the morning, when he was having breakfast, Smriti Mandhana's father, Mr. Srinivas Mandhana, got unwell. We waited for a while thinking it might be normal, but he was getting worse. So we decided not to take any risk, called an ambulance, and took him to the hospital. Now he is under observation.”
He added, “Smriti is very close to her father. She decided that until he gets well, the marriage, which was supposed to happen today, is indefinitely postponed. The doctors have said he will have to stay in the hospital. We are all in shock and want him to recover soon.”

The decorations at the Samdol wedding venue are currently being removed following the postponement. The couple and their families have requested privacy as they focus on the health and recovery of Srinivas Mandhana.
Smriti and Palash were expected to tie the knot on November 23 in Sangli, Maharashtra, in the presence of close family members and friends. Several members of the Women's World Cup–winning Indian cricket team were also present with Smriti during the celebrations. Numerous photos and videos from ceremonies over the past few days had been circulating widely on the internet.
