Silver Rate Today: Silver holds a special place in India’s culture, economy, and daily life. While gold is often seen as a symbol of wealth and status, silver is more widely used and accessible to a larger section of people.
Silver Rate Today: Silver prices remain volatile as the metal reacts sharply to global trends, currency fluctuations and changes in investor sentiment, keeping traders cautious. On Friday, February 27, the silver price stood at Rs 2,66,991 per kg and Rs 266 per gram. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver futures closed at Rs 2,59,700, compared to the previous close of Rs 259,669.
The white metal had earlier surged to a record high of Rs 4,10,100 per kg on January 29.
According to the data from Goodreturns, the price of silver in India on Friday, February 27, stood at Rs 285 per gram and Rs 2,85,000 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, according to the All India Sarafa Association, silver prices declined by Rs 7,400, nearly 3 per cent, slipping to Rs 2,70,500 per kg (inclusive of all taxes), down from the previous close of Rs 2,77,900 per kg.
Traders attributed the decline mainly to weak cues from global markets and light profit-booking after prices had surged to a three-week high earlier in the week. A stronger US dollar also curbed investor interest in bullion.
