Reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama and chanting the mantra “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” with a Tulsi mala is recommended. Aarti should be performed with a lamp made from cow's ghee, followed by offering prasad. Devotees may choose to eat a sattvic meal or observe a fruit-only fast during the day, while also donating food, clothes, and other essentials to the needy. On the night of Paush Purnima, offering Arghya (water offering) to the moon and praying is encouraged, as it is believed that prayers made on this night yield swift results.
