Shoojit Sircar Pays Tribute To His ‘Forever Inspiration’ Kamini Kaushal

The entire Bollywood is mourning the death of legendary Bollywood actress Kamini Kaushal. The veteran star breathed her last on November 14. Following her demise, Piku filmmaker Shoojit Sircar recalled a loving moment with the late actress.

Taking to his Instagram, Sircar shared a throwback picture with Kamini Kaushal and penned a heartwarming tribute for her.

In the note, Sircar expressed his regret at not getting a chance to work with Kamini Kaushal and wrote, “A beautiful memory, a forever inspiration. I had the privilege of sharing a quiet moment with Kamini Kaushal during the casting of ‘Gulabo Sitabo'. I wish the stars had aligned so we could have created something together." He further added, “Her presence was graceful, warm, and elegant. Rest in peace, dear Kamini ji. You had the sweetest smile and voice."

Bollywood Celebs Mourn Kamini Kaushal's Death

Alongside Shoojit Sircar, Bollywood stars including Anupam Kher, Kiara Advani, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and others took to social media to pay their tribute.

Anupam Kher mourned the loss of a brilliant actress and wrote, “Kamini Kaushal ji was not only a brilliant artist but also a beautiful human being. Whenever I met her, she always greeted me with a smile and with love and always gave good advice. In the history of Indian films, her name will be written in golden letters! Om Shanti!"

Kiara Advani, who shared the screen with Kamini Kaushal in Kabir Singh, took to social media and shared a picture from the actress' younger days. “It was an honour to work with you. Your grace, humility and talent inspired generations and left an unforgettable mark on Indian cinema. Rest in peace, Kamini Kaushal Ji," she penned.

Kabir Singh star Shahid Kapoor also paid tribute to the late actress. The actor shared a collage picture of Kamini Kaushal and wrote, “Rest In Light, Ma'am."

Kamini Kaushal's Family Requests Privacy

The veteran actress passed away at the age of 98 on November 14. As per reports, Kamini Kaushal has been struggling with age-related health complications. A family friend told PTI that Kamini's loved ones prefer to keep a low profile and have requested privacy during such difficult times. “Kamini Kaushal's family is extremely low profile and needs privacy," he stated. The actress last appeared in a cameo role in the Aamir Khan-starrer 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha.
