Shocking Video From Kerala: Woman Records Man Putting Hand Inside Her Blouse On Bus
A young woman travelling on a public bus in Kattakada, a town in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, showed great courage after being molested by a fellow passenger. Instead of staying silent, she recorded the man's actions on her phone first and then confronted him publicly. While the bus conductor immediately came to her rescue, none of the other passengers even bothered to move from their seats.
In the video, which has been widely shared online, a man was initially seen inappropriately touching a woman on a bus, appearing to use the vehicle's movement as an excuse. However, his behaviour soon escalated. The woman, showing presence of mind, recorded the incident on her phone before confronting him. She can be seen hitting his hand and then slapping him several times while exposing his face to the camera.
Bus Conductor Comes To Her Rescue
She continued to hit the man as other passengers watched the incident unfold on the moving bus. Soon after, the bus conductor arrived, and the woman informed him that the man had molested her. It remains unclear what action the conductor took or whether the woman filed a complaint against the accused. The video, however, has since gone viral and sparked widespread outrage on social media.
Internet Expresses Disgust Over The Man's Behaviour
Many praised the woman for her bravery and presence of mind, while others expressed their outrage and disgust at the man's behaviour. One user said, “Even 100% literacy cannot change the mindset."
“Ye har jagah jhelna padta hai ladkiyon ko (Women have to tolerate such behaviour everywhere)," mentioned another user.
“How have we reached this stage where the survivor had to record the actual act of getting groped before she raised an alarm? The sheer strength she showed to not react immediately, just so that people could believe her. And then we have idiots in the comments asking why," someone else wrote.
A different person shared, “Absolutely disgusting behaviour. It should never be tolerated. Those who molest in public have to be identified, humiliated, and given to the police so that an FIR is registered, and actual legal consequences follow. Commend any witness who intervened, help the victim, keep evidence/CCTV safe, and demand a quick arrest and trial. No more justifications. Treat women with due respect or be dealt with by the law."

“100% literacy doesn't support that lady. Not even a single slap by any one of co co-passengers, including that conductor," pointed out another person.
The incident has once again reignited discussions on women's safety in India and the persistent challenges many face in seeking justice for harassment.
