It was a huge night for Laapataa Ladies, which won 13 awards, including Best Film — tying the record set by Gully Boy. Nitanshi Goel took home Best Debut Actor (Female) for her role in the film.

One of the most touching moments came when Nitanshi Goel went up to the stage to collect her trophy. Dressed in a stunning yellow gown with a long, flowing train, Nitanshi began climbing the stairs but stumbled slightly as her gown caught under her heels. On stage, Shah Rukh Khan reached out his hand to steady her. As she smiled nervously and continued walking up the stairs, he picked up the long trail of her gown and held it carefully so she could move towards Karan Johar, who was presenting the award. The audience applauded as Shah Rukh followed behind, holding the train until she reached the stage — a graceful gesture that went viral online.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Shah Rukh has shown such old-school charm. At the National Film Awards earlier last month, when both he and Rani Mukerji received honours for Jawan and Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway respectively, cameras caught a similar sight. As Rani walked past him in a beautiful sari, Shah Rukh noticed the pallu trailing close to the floor. Without hesitation, he bent down, lifted it gently and held it as she moved forward to receive her award. Fans couldn't stop gushing over the moment, calling it “the most Shah Rukh Khan thing ever."
