‘Sexist And Vulgar’: Internet Bashes Annu Kapoor For ‘Dudhiya Badhan’ Comment On Tamannaah Bhatia

Annu Kapoor has found himself in hot water after his comment on actress Tamannaah Bhatia went viral. In a recent chat, while reacting to the actress' claims that children sleep while listening to her song Aaj Ki Raat, Annu praised her by calling her body “dudhiya badan," which has netizens calling him vulgar.

Annu Kapoor joined Subhankar Mishra in a recent interview where the actor spoke about watching Tamannaah in her song Aaj Ki Raat. When he was questioned if he liked the actress, Annu excitedly said, “Mashallah, kya dudhiya badan hai (Oh my God, what a milky body she has)."

After this comment, when the host questioned the actor about Tamannaah's claims that children fall asleep to her song, Annu added, “Kitne umar ke bacche so jaate hain… 70 saal ke umar ka bhi baccha ho sakta hai na. Main hota toh poochta ke kitne umar ke so jaate hain. Angrezi mein bolte hain that he is 70 years old, woh 70 saal purana baccha hai… And he is 11-year-old budha (Kids of which age sleep? A 70-year-old can also be a kid. I would have asked this question to her)."

“Behen, apne gaane se, apne shareer se, apne dudhiya chehre se humare bacchon ko sula rahi hain… Bahut achi baat hai. Desh ke upar kripa hogi agar humare desh ke bacche achhi aur swasth neend soyein. Agar aur bhi kuch ichchhain hain toh Bhagwan unko samarth kare ke unki ichchhain poori hon (Our sister is making kids sleep with her song, with her milky face and body. If she is making our children sleep sweetly, it's very good, man. It will be a great blessing for this country that our children get a good and healthy night's sleep. If she has any other wishes, may God give her the capability to fulfil them. That's my blessing for her)," Annu added.

This remark by the actor didn't sit well with social media users, who are now calling him out. One said, “Wth! This man gives tharki vibes." “Please be respectful. Don't you have a daughter or grandchildren?" another user shared. Another wrote, “I know Annu ji personally, but such remarks are sexist and I oppose them openly." Another shared, “Ashleel hai ye (he is vulgar)." One comment read, “What kind of language is that?"

What Tamannaah Bhatia Said About Kids Watching Aaj Ki Raat

During an interview with Lallantop, the actress was discussing how she decided what to work on when she shared, “I can't tell you the number of mothers that have called me up and said, ‘My child will eat food only if he hears Aaj Ki Raat.' Because bacche apne diaper mein aise-aise hil rahe hote hain." Tamannaah further added that kids do not understand the lyrics of the song at such a tender age, but they do enjoy the music.
