Sanjay Mishra Portrays Courageous Postman In Faizan Bazmee’s Directorial Debut
Director Anees Bazmee's son, Faizan Bazmee, formally released his long-awaited debut movie, Postman, which features renowned actor Sanjay Mishra as the lead. The hard-hitting trailer showcases Mishra playing the poignant role of a postman who is trapped in a life-or-death situation during the Kargil War while carrying the most crucial letter of his lifetime.
The director posted the trailer on his Instagram handle @faizanbazmee with a moving caption, “Every letter he delivered told a story. This one told his."

A War-Time Story of Courage
Against the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War, Postman is a story about an everyday man thrust into extraordinary situations. Sanjay Mishra acts as a simple postman who has to walk through risk and sacrifice to deliver a letter that could alter everything. The trailer emphasises patriotism, grit, and the untold battles of everyday heroes.
Sanjay Mishra's Impactful Role
Mishra, with his incredible range, plays a multi-layered role that is fragile yet determined. His performance is the embodiment of emotional gravitas as his character navigates a battlefield to achieve his mission. Initial reactions indicate that this might be one of the actor's standout performances.
Faizan Bazmee's Directorial Debut
In Postman, Faizan Bazmee debuts as a feature film director. Selecting a tale strongly influenced by Indian history, he focuses on the sacrifices of uncredited heroes who experienced war. Bazmee, along with co-writer Shwet Parekh, shows a cinematic sense of balancing realism with emotional narrative.
Strong Backing and Creative Team
Produced by Parth Savalia under AFB Production LLP and Circle 6 Studios, the film has a solid team. The script is from Faizan Bazmee and Shwet Parekh, with dialogues from Nikhil Jain, Parekh, and Bazmee. Siddharth Chawla is the cinematographer, while Shubham Patil edits the film. Parth Saraf provides the music, and picture post-production is done by Futureworks Media.
Samarth Shandilya, Tanishq Chaudhary, Ali Hifazat, Suresh Sur, Durga Kamboj, Azam Namaz and Varunkant compose the supporting cast.
A War Film That Remembers Humanity
It is more than a war film, a war drama. Postman is a film about humanity, bravery, and sacrifice. In putting a common man at the center of a war narrative, the movie reminds one that heroism does not necessarily have to come from a commanding figure.
