RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: Registration Postponed For 22,000 Posts; Check New Schedule
RRB Group D Vacancy: The Railway Recruitment Board has postponed the application process for 22,000 RRB Group D posts. Initially, applications were set to start on January 21t, but they will now commence on January 31.
According to the revised schedule by the Railway Recruitment Board, the registration process will run from January 31 until March 2 at 11:59 PM. Candidates can submit their applications online by visiting the official website, rrb.gov.in.
RRB Group D Vacancy Zone Wise
According to the proposal, 993 posts have been allocated to East Central Railway and 1,199 to South Eastern Railway. The highest number of vacancies in this Group D recruitment are in the Engineering Department, with a total of 12,500 posts approved. Of these, the highest number of 11,000 posts are for Track Maintainer Grade-4. Traffic Point B has 5,000 vacancies, while Assistant (S&T) has 1,500 vacancies.
Aadhaar Card And Photo Needed
RRB has requested candidates to update their Aadhaar card details and photo before the application process begins. The name and date of birth on the Aadhaar card should match those in the 10th-grade certificate. The commission previously mentioned in a notice, “Candidates are advised to verify their basic information with Aadhaar when filling out the online application. Failure to verify the application with Aadhaar will result in additional verification at each stage of the recruitment process."

The short notification for RRB Group D recruitment does not clearly state the eligibility criteria. It is still unclear whether the qualifications required this time will be ITI or 10th-grade pass, and whether all 10th-grade pass candidates will be eligible.
The RRB Group D CBT will be conducted on January 8 and 9, and February 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10. It will consist of 100 objective-type questions. The paper will include 25 questions each from General Science and Mathematics, 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, and 20 questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs.
