India and Pakistan are set to clash in the Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. This is the first time in 41 years of the tournament's history that the two teams will face off in the grand finale.
India have been unbeaten in the Asia Cup so far, while Pakistan's only two defeats have come against India.
During the course of the tournament, there were a few records that were broken, including pacer Arshdeep Singh becoming the first Indian to 100 T20I wickets, Bangladesh pacer Mustafzur Rahman claiming 150 T20I wickets and surpassing Shakib al Hasan's tally of 149 and Pathum Nissanka smashing a stunning century against India to break several records.

Batting records that can be broken in Asia Cup final
Rising star and world's top ranked T20I batter Abhishek Sharma has been the player of the Asia Cup so far. In just six innings, he has smashed 309 runs at an incredible strike rate of over 200, including three consecutive fifties in the Super Four stage.He is only 11 runs shy of overtaking Virat Kohli's record for the most runs by an Indian in a multi-nation T20I tournament. Kohli had scored 319 runs during the 2014 T20 World Cup, a performance that won him the ‘Player of the Tournament' award.
Further, If Sharma scores at least 23 runs in the summit clash, he will break Phil Salt's record of scoring the most runs in a T20I series/tournament by a player from a full-member team.
He could also become the first batter in the world to score eight 30+ scores in T20Is. He is currently tied with Rohit Sharma and Mohammad Rizwan, who crossed the 30-run mark in 7 back-to-back T20Is.
Sharma needs 64 runs to break Suresh Raina's record of scoring the most runs in one edition of the Asia Cup (ODIs and T20Is combined) for India. Raina played six matches in the 2008 Asia Cup and scored 372 runs, which was in the 50 over format. while scoring 70 runs will break Sanath Jayasuriya's all time Asia Cup tally of 378 runs in the 2008 edition.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson, who has had limited opportunities with the bat, has scored 108 runs in three innings so far, including a half-century against Oman. If he scores 64 more runs in the final, he will overtake Rishabh Pant's record for the best-ever performance by an Indian wicketkeeper-batter in a multi-nation T20 tournament.
Bowling records that can be broken in Asia Cup final
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya needs two more wickets to become the leading wicket-taker in Asia Cup T20 history. Currently sitting at 15 wickets, he has the opportunity to surpass Wanindu Hasaranga and Haris Rauf. He could also become India's second bowler to reach 100 T20I wickets, only behind Arshdeep Singh, who achieved the milestone earlier in the tournament.
