A woman has sparked a heated conversation online after sharing a video explaining why she gave up her 7-year-old daughter for adoption. In the video, she says she made the choice so she could “travel the world" with her boyfriend, showing no signs of sadness about the decision.
She describes the day as a turning point in her life. “Today's the day that I get to drop my daughter off for the rest of her life. I can't really say that I feel sad about it. I really don't care. I gave up custody of my kid. I put her up for adoption. She's seven years old," the young mother says in the video.
“She's going to school. I'm about to drop her off at her last day of school. I have to take her to and then the adoptees are picking her up from the school pick-up line. And yeah! I'm a free woman after that. I'm selling my house, I'm buying an RV. I'm about to travel the world. I'm pretty excited. I have been waiting for this moment my entire life. Ever since I had her and I was being guilty and not giving her up because I felt like, as a mom, you're not supposed to give your kid up. But then I had a good talk with my boyfriend, and he said that it doesn't matter what other people think and what you want, and I don't want a kid," she also said.
She Chose Freedom Over Motherhood
In the video, she openly admits she doesn't feel ready or willing to be a parent and is prioritising her own life plans. She says her decision came after discussions with her boyfriend, who also didn't want a child. She describes the moment as liberating, looking forward to traveling in an RV and living a life she is always dreamed of.
