Prominent Bollywood Family Bets Big On Mumbai Realty, Buys 7 Units For Rs 27 Crore

In a significant real estate move that has set the industry abuzz, a prominent Bollywood family has collectively invested nearly Rs 27 crore in a cluster of office spaces in one of Mumbai's busiest commercial corridors.

According to publicly available registration documents accessed through Square Yards, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, his wife Pinky Roshan, and daughter Sunaina Roshan have acquired seven commercial units in Andheri, an area that has increasingly turned into a preferred business address for media, aviation, and entertainment companies.

5 Units Registered in a Single Day

Records show that the bulk of the purchases, five office units worth Rs 19.68 crore, were registered on November 19, 2025. All the units are housed in Vaidya West World One Aeropolis, a modern commercial tower located in Andheri East.

Rakesh Roshan, known for directing blockbusters such as Krrish and Khoon Bhari Maang, secured two units, paying:

Each property includes two car parking slots, with registration fees of Rs 30,000 and stamp duties of Rs 19.64 lakh and Rs 16.98 lakh, respectively.

His wife, Pinky Roshan, completed the purchase of three adjoining units, priced at:

Each of these came with a Rs 30,000 registration charge and stamp duties ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 31 lakh.

Not left behind in the family's investment strategy, Sunaina Roshan bought two additional units on the eighth floor of the same tower. The combined investment amounts to Rs 6.42 crore, covering a total carpet area of 2,471 sq ft. One unit was priced at Rs 3.16 crore, the other at Rs 3.26 crore, with a registration fee of Rs 30,000 each.

The Roshans' latest acquisition marks a notable shift toward high-value commercial spaces within a micro-market that has witnessed robust demand from corporate tenants. With multiple members of the family purchasing units in the same building, industry observers see this as a consolidated bet on long-term rental yield and capital appreciation.
