Pratika Rawal Added To India Women Squad For Australia ODIs
Pratika Rawal returns to India’s women’s cricket squad for the Australia ODI series after recovering from an ankle injury.
Pratika Rawal has been included in India’s women’s cricket squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, commencing on February 24 in Brisbane, after recovering from an ankle injury. Rawal sustained the injury while fielding in a World Cup match against Bangladesh last year. During her absence, Shafali Verma took her place, and the Indian team went on to clinch their first World Cup victory.
The Women’s Selection Committee of the BCCI confirmed Rawal’s addition to the squad in a statement. The BCCI noted that Rawal had completed her rehabilitation at their Centre of Excellence and had fully recuperated from the ankle injury she suffered in October during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
Following the series opener in Brisbane, the remaining two ODIs are scheduled to take place in Hobart on February 27 and March 1. Rawal, aged 25, is also set to be part of the Test squad for the one-off match in Perth starting on March 6.
