Param Sundari Box Office Day 14: Sidharth Malhotra’s Film Struggles To Reach Rs 50 Crore-Mark
Param Sundari has completed its two-week theatrical run. The romantic comedy-drama starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor has delivered a decent box office performance so far. While the film had a strong opening, it lost momentum in the second week. Param Sundari faced stiff competition from Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4, Vivek Agnihotri's The Bengal Files, and Hollywood's horror release The Conjuring: Last Rites. Due to the intense competition from these fresh releases, the film is struggling to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in the domestic market.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Param Sundari earned Rs 60 lakh on Day 14 (the second Thursday). Earlier in the week, it recorded Rs 75 lakh on Monday (Day 11), followed by a slight rise to Rs 85 lakh on Tuesday, before dipping again on Wednesday. With these recent figures, the film's total domestic theatrical earnings have reached approximately Rs 48.80 crore over its 14-day run.
Param Sundari's Box Office Collection Overview
The film had a successful opening weekend, earning Rs 26.75 crore at the Indian box office. On Friday, August 29, it generated Rs 7.25 crore, with an increase to Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday. By the end of its first week, Param Sundari had collected an estimated Rs 39 crore in domestic revenue. The film's profits dropped significantly in the second week, reaching a low of Rs 1.75 crore on day 8 and Rs 2 crore on day 9. However, it made a small recovery on Sunday, earning Rs 2.5 crore.
Param Sundari requires a strong rise in the third weekend to achieve a reasonable total by the end of its theatrical run. The film is estimated to gross a total of Rs 50-52 crore.
Param Sundari: Plot And Cast
Param Sundari tells the narrative of Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a wealthy Delhi-based entrepreneur who invests his father's money in new ventures. His dreams lead him to Soulmates, an AI-powered matchmaking company that introduces him to Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a traditional girl from Kerala who operates a family guesthouse with her uncle, a Kalari Payattu specialist. What began as an app experiment suddenly grew into something far deeper. Apart from Sidharth and Janhvi, Inayat Verma, Sanjay Kapoor, and Manjot Singh all play significant roles.
