On Cam, Man Pushes Wife Out Of Home While Punching Her Face: ‘She Didn’t Vote For RJD In Bihar Polls’

Election season has always been quite intense in India, but this time, the political heat entered a household quite literally. In a video that has gone viral, a married couple from the state of Bihar found themselves at the centre of a heated argument after the wife revealed she had voted for another party rather than the one her husband supports. The incident occurred during the ongoing Bihar Assembly Election 2025.

According to the person who recorded the video, the husband, a supporter of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), expected his wife to vote for the same party. However, when she revealed that she had voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) instead, their conversation quickly escalated into a serious disagreement.

Neighbours Try To Calm Things Down Between The Couple

In the viral clip posted on X (formerly Twitter), the husband was seen slapping his wife and pushing her out of their home. The woman was trying to defend herself. Soon, neighbours gathered on the street after hearing the commotion. They even stepped in to stop the husband. Even after others tried to intervene, he continued to shout at her while people attempted to protect her.

“Pati bola RJD ko vote do, patni boli BJP toh peet diya (Husband asked to vote for RJD, wife said BJP, so he beat her)," read the text overlaying the clip. In no time, it caught the attention of social media users. While some reacted humorously to the story, others pointed out the importance of respecting individual choices, even within families.

Internet Asks The Couple To “Prioritise" Their Marriage Over Politics

One user said, “The Indian election is not for beginners."

“Paagal aurat hai pati ko bolti RJD ko diya, lekin andar BJP ko deti na," joked another.

“Politics should end at the gate of your home, not break it. Pati-Patni ka rishta vote se nahi, vishwas se chalta hai! Aap RJD ko vote do ya BJP ko — ghar me ‘Domestic Parliament chalu kar doge toh next election me dono hi haar jayenge. Lesson: Democracy ghar me nahi chalti bhai, ghar me peace rakho, desh me politics karo!" a different user pointed out.

Someone else penned, “‘I feed you, so you vote how I say.' The sad part is, people are ready to destroy the peace of their own homes for politicians who don't even know they exist LMAO."

“Prioritise the relationship: The marriage should hold more importance than any political affiliation," asked another individual.
