A disturbing incident unfolded in Ghaziabad when a customer spotted unhygienic practices while bread was being prepared at a local eatery. The restaurant, later identified as “Chicken Point," became the centre of attention after a video surfaced showing one of its staff allegedly spitting on the rotis before baking them. It is located at Duhai, Madhuban Bapudham police station area, near Rapid Rail Pillar No. 750.
According to a report in Bhaskar English, the incident took place on Friday evening, January 2, when customer Harsh Chaudhary visited the restaurant with friends and noticed unusual activity while the rotis were being prepared. He recorded a video showing the worker, later identified as Javed Ansari, handling the bread in alleged questionable manner before placing it in the tandoor oven.

The footage is 1 minute and 21 seconds long and begins with another employee standing nearby to serve the rotis to customers. As the other employee moves towards the customers with the bread, Javed can be seen rolling the roti with his hands, bringing his mouth close to the roti and then placing it into the tandoor for baking.

Anger And Arguments Erupt Online
Many people expressed anger and concern over the alleged unhygienic act with one user commenting, “Why do you buy from them? Boycott their shops for your health, safety & security."
Another added, “A wrong is a wrong. He should be thoroughly punished."
“Kaha se aate hai aise log, kitni gandi soch hai (Where do such people come from, such filthy thinking)," someone else remarked.
But some people defended Javed as they suggested that he was not spitting but removing dry flour before baking.
A person stated, “It's clear from the footage: he's blowing dry flour (phoonk), not spitting."
“Anyway, whatever I say won't seem right to you because I'm a Muslim, but I'll say it anyway, he knows that someone is making a video of him, even after that he repeated the same thing, he doesn't seem that foolish. He's just removing dry flour," an individual said.
“I think, to make the roti stick properly in the tandoor, this dry flour is removed, because everyone who's been caught in this matter has given exactly this argument, otherwise why would anyone go through the trouble of doing this out in the open?" read another comment.
Swift Police Response
According to the report, after the video went viral, police arrived at the restaurant and took Javed into custody for questioning. Javed is reportedly a resident of Muradnagar and has been employed at the restaurant for about five years.

“A case of making roti by spitting in a restaurant named “Chicken Point" came to light. Upon receiving the information, Madhuban Bapudham Police Station in-charge Akhilesh Singh reached the spot, inspected the crime scene, and gathered information. During this, the accused Javed Ansari was arrested. Police have registered a case against the accused and initiated further legal action," ACP Kavinagar Suryabali Maurya said as quoted by the outlet.
The restaurant reportedly employs eight staff members, and around 500 people eat there daily.
