Noida Woman Grabs Cab Driver By Shirt, Pushes Him Over Fare Dispute: ‘Batao Rs 600 Nahi Diye Ja Rahay Insay’
A full-blown street drama was seen in a video that surfaced online recently where a cab driver and a woman are seen arguing over unpaid fare. The incident reportedly began after the woman allegedly refused to pay Rs 600 for the ride she had booked which led to a public altercation that was captured by a bystander.
The exchange escalated to a point where woman abused while the driver was seen snatching away her phone.
Cab Driver And Woman Fight Over Rs 600 Fare
The video begins with the person recording the scene explaining the situation. He says, “Ye madam hai, ye Noida se cab driver ke sath aayi hai aur ye paise nahi de rahi hai (This woman came with the cab driver from Noida and she is not paying the money)."
As the argument continues, the cab driver is seen holding onto the woman’s bag while she repeatedly asks him to let go and insists that she has paid for the ride.
“Maine bhej diye hai. Online diye hai (I have made an online payment)," she says.
But the cab driver responds with, “Bag tab chordunga jab pehle police ayegi (First police will come then only I will let go off the bag)."
Meanwhile, people standing nearby and vehicles passing through the road slow down as the dispute continues in public.
Claims Of Online And Cash Payment
At one point during the argument, a bystander asks the woman whether she has any proof of the payment. “Aapke pas koi proof hai? (Do you have any proof?)," he asks.
The woman replies, “Cash diya hai (I paid in cash)."
Despite the conflicting claims, the driver eventually lets go of the woman’s bag. But the confrontation does not end there. The woman continues arguing with those around her and is also heard using abusive language during the exchange.
Phone Snatched As Argument Escalates
The situation escalates further when the cab driver suddenly snatches the woman’s phone. In response, the woman grabs his T-shirt and repeatedly demands that her phone be returned.
She can be heard shouting, “Phone de mera (Give me my phone)."
The cab driver insists that he will return the phone only when the police arrive. The argument continues for a while before the situation turns chaotic.
Towards the end of the video, the driver is seen running away while the woman runs behind him.

YouTuber Links Incident To ‘Low-Trust Society’
The incident sparked varied reactions online with a YouTuber sharing a detailed take on the episode. He said such situations reflect a larger issue about trust in transactions in India.
“It made me think about something. Sometimes India feels like a low-trust society. People hesitate to provide a service before payment because they’re not sure the other person will actually pay. I work with a lot of ecommerce businesses, and they face the same problem with cash on delivery," he wrote.
He also compared the situation to the challenges faced by e-commerce companies with cash-on-delivery orders, where customers sometimes refuse to accept deliveries after placing orders. According to him, repeated incidents like these gradually break trust in the system and make “honest business becomes much harder."
