Noida, Greater Noida & Gurugram Schools Shift To Hybrid Classes For Students Up To Class 5
In view of the worsening air quality in the National Capital Region, authorities in Noida, Greater Noida and Gurugram have allowed schools to continue classes in a hybrid format for students up to Class 5. The decision has been taken to protect the health of young children while ensuring that their studies are not disrupted.

Acting on directions issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram announced that all schools in the district will follow a hybrid learning model for students up to Class 5. This will allow schools to offer both online and offline classes.
The announcement was made after the administration implemented Stage 3 measures under the Graded Response Action Plan due to the sharp decline in air quality in Delhi NCR. Recent reports have shown that air quality levels in Gurugram have remained in the “Very Poor" category.
A message posted on X stated that because of the deteriorating air quality, and based on the CAQM guidelines under Stage III for severe air quality, classes for students up to Class 5 will now be conducted in hybrid mode wherever possible.

Noida, Greater Noida
Amid rising concerns from parents regarding the increasing pollution levels, District Magistrate Medha Roopam directed all schools in Noida and Greater Noida to switch to hybrid learning for students up to Class 5. The decision is in line with CAQM's recent instructions for NCR schools and will require classes to run through a combination of online and offline modes until further orders, according to officials.

Earlier, the Delhi government had issued similar instructions asking schools to conduct hybrid classes for students up to Class 5. Parents were given the option to choose online learning as pollution levels worsened across the city.
The move follows the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM)'s decision to impose Stage III restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan on Tuesday after pollution levels in Delhi NCR recorded a sudden spike.
