‘No Fascist’ Chants, Brawls And Arrests: Chaos At Turning Point USA Event For Charlie Kirk

A Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event at the University of California, Berkeley descended into chaos after violent clashes broke out between protesters and supporters, leading to multiple arrests and a federal investigation. The unrest erupted near Bancroft Way, where hundreds had gathered for TPUSA's “This Is The Turning Point" tour featuring comedian Rob Schneider and author Dr. Frank Turek- first since the assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk two months ago in Utah.

Videos from the scene showed protesters, many wearing keffiyehs and holding signs reading “No safe space for fascist sc*"*, clashing with police in riot gear. Officers from the Berkeley Police Department, California Highway Patrol and campus security formed barricades as tensions escalated. Demonstrators had gathered hours before the event, chanting “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA." Panic broke out when a passing car emitted sounds resembling gunfire, prompting attendees to dive behind barricades.

FBI-Led Task Force Probes Violence

US Attorney General Pamela Bondi condemned the incident, announcing that the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force had launched an investigation. He said, “Antifa is an existential threat to our nation. The violent riots at UC Berkeley are under full investigation by the FBI. We will spare no expense unmasking all who commit and orchestrate acts of political violence."

Pamela Bondi added that the Department of Justice would examine potential security lapses and hold accountable “any who enabled such violence."

“Under President Trump's leadership, and pursuant to his Executive Order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization, law enforcement is dismantling violent networks that seek to suppress free expression," she said.

$1,400,000,000 or $1.4 billion…That's how much state and federal taxpayer money UC Berkeley gets every year.

The American people are basically funding a Leftist terrorist training camp.

TPUSA, University Respond

Former TPUSA chief of staff Mikey McCoy accused Antifa members of infiltrating the event and “breaking through police barricades."

“Antifa is breaking through police barricades and threatening our event attendees!" Mikey McCoy wrote on X (formerly Twitter). TPUSA said it was “deeply disturbed" by the attacks and thanked police for preventing “what could have been far worse."

UC Berkeley spokesperson Dan Mogulof condemned all acts of violence, reaffirming the university's commitment to free speech.

“The university supports the rights of all speakers to participate in student-hosted events without regard to their beliefs," he said.
