Namo Bharat Rail Shocker: Ghaziabad Woman ‘Attempts Suicide’ After Obscene Video With Man Goes Viral, Family Says...
A female college student from Ghaziabad attempted suicide after a video allegedly showing her in an inappropriate situation inside a Namo Bharat Rapid Train went viral on social media. The incident has sparked police investigations and led to the dismissal of a train operator.
According to a report by Bhaskar English, the incident occurred on November 24 at around 4 PM, when the Namo Bharat Rapid Train was travelling from Duhai to Muradnagar. The video reportedly shows a young man and woman sitting together inside the train cabin.
Obscene Behaviour On Namo Bharat Rapid Train
According to the report, the female student was seen wearing her college uniform with the institute's logo clearly visible in the viral video, along with an ID card. The male student, dressed in a white sweater, was seated beside her. Most of the seats around them appeared empty, except for a woman passenger sitting three seats behind, facing the opposite direction.

The report stated that the male student initially kissed the female student, after which they engaged in more intimate acts while partially covered with a sheet. During the incident, the female student was seated by the window.
Operator Recorded Video Without Permission
The video was recorded by a train operator using his personal mobile phone, Bhaskar English reported. The recording was done without the consent or knowledge of the students involved.
The operator was later identified as Rishabh. It was found that he violated company rules. Following an internal inquiry, the company dismissed him from service. A police case has also been registered against him for recording and circulating the video on social media.
FIR Registered Against Both Students
According to the report, an FIR has also been registered at Muradnagar police station against both students for engaging in indecent behaviour inside the Namo Bharat Rapid Train.
The female student is an adult and a resident of Ghaziabad. She is pursuing a BCA at an institute located on Meerut Road. Meanwhile, the male student is pursuing BTech from a college in Ghaziabad. They both reportedly belong to the Jat community, and their homes are located around three kilometres apart.
Female Student Attempts Suicide
After the video went viral, the female student reportedly attempted suicide. She was provided medical treatment and survived. Following this, her family sent her to stay with relatives in another city.
The girl's uncle told Bhaskar English off-camera, “We don't want this matter to spread further. There has already been enough defamation. That's why we have sent our daughter to relatives."
He added that people passing through the street now look inside their house. “Most of the time, we keep the door closed. We only open it when we see someone familiar. It's our child's mistake. What can we do?" he said.
Family members also said they are frightened due to the FIR and fear that police will take action, including possible arrests.
Neighbours Express Concern
Neighbours described the family as well-mannered and said the student was good at studies. One neighbour said that after the video surfaced, the family stopped interacting openly.
A 55-year-old resident of the area told Bhaskar English that since both students belong to the same community, the elders should get them married. He also said the students should have been aware that there are cameras in trains and that the families are now suffering due to the incident.
Students And Institute Respond

Students from the institute were reluctant to speak publicly. A student, Aman Chaudhary, said that after the video circulated online, the institute's name also came under scrutiny. “People are just making it viral. They should think this is affecting lives. When people see the girl doing such dirty acts, her career will be finished," he said.
Teachers at the institute expressed shock, stating that the student had been focused on her studies. The institute's Public Relations Officer (PRO) confirmed that an investigation is underway and assured that all information requested by the police will be provided.
