Mumbai Woman Gives A Demo Of ‘Rolls-Royce’ Of Mattresses Worth Rs 7 Crore: ‘Aur Kitna Gareeb Feel Karwayega?'

Buying a mattress might sound easy, but in reality, it's quite the opposite. It's not about picking the softest one or the largest in the room. A perfect mattress is something which feels comfortable for your body. A few common factors to consider include the spring, latex and memory foam, each equipped with a different kind of sleeping experience. But no matter how comfortable, would you ever think of buying a Rs 7 crore mattress?

A Mumbai-based interior designer uploaded a video on Instagram, sharing amazing details of the opulent Rs 7 crore mattress. The brand in discussion called Hastens Mumbai, specialises in hand-crafted beds boasting luxurious Swedish craftsmanship. Established in 1852, the world-renowned bed maker has been catering to politicians, celebrities and other important figures.

What Makes The Rs 7 Crore Mattress So Special?

In a snippet embedded within the clip, DJ Khalid was heard calling the bedding, “the Rolls-Royce of mattresses." Not only is it completely handmade with skilled craftsmen devoting more than 300 hours to make a single piece, each layer is stuffed with cotton, wool and horsehair. The items are placed by hand to create the weightless, ‘floating' feel.

“The horsehair isn't just for show. It acts like natural springs, allowing air to flow through so the mattress never traps heat. That's why you don't wake up sweating," explained the interior designer in the caption. She added that the all-natural material is devoid of foam, latex and synthetic. This makes the mattress more breathable, ensuring it stands the test of time.

“The mattress adjusts to your body over time. It's not memory foam, but it remembers you. The longer you sleep on it, the better it feels," read the side note. Additionally, an interior designer who experienced a demo revealed that she could sleep on it within seconds, indicating the comfort level. Other mattress options start from Rs 20 lakhs.

“Wow! I'll loose sleep instead," commented a shocker user. “Can we rent it?" asked another. “I'd take it if I could afford it," admitted an individual. “Better to go to stable and collect horse hair and have the mattress stitched," suggested one person. “Luxury human made madness," read a remark.
