When Mumbai-born Jyoti Wakchaure moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, on a dependent visa, she never expected to build her own digital company. Speaking with Hindustantimes.com, she opened up about the raw reality of navigating immigrant life. After facing a shocking, abrupt firing from her job, she turned adversity into ambition by launching a social media agency during the pandemic. Today, earning a decent income while balancing investments in India, she credits the Scandinavian lifestyle with helping her rediscover her identity and voice. The Mumbai-born CEO who started her own business after relocating to Sweden. It was quite sudden and unfair.”When did she relocate?
The expat said she relocated in 2016, adding, “My husband got a job offer and so I moved on a dependent visa.”How did she start her business?
The founder told Hindustantimes.com, “I started my content creation as a side hustle and my YouTube channel in 2018 and then started my company in 2020 during the pandemic, offering social media marketing services to local small businesses. As my YouTube channel grew and my network within Sweden grew, I started working with Swedish clients too.”How much does she earn?

“I think I have changed a lot after moving to Sweden. There are pros and cons to every place but I think I became more calm, kind, punctual, independent and started liking the ways of Sweden. I am grateful that I have built my career and life in Sweden. I rediscovered myself and found a new identity,” Wakchaure said.
