Mumbai Businesswoman Held At Gunpoint, Stripped, Threatened With Video Leak; Complaint Filed
A senior official at a pharmaceutical company allegedly held a 51-year-old businesswoman at gunpoint, stripped her, and threatened to leak her private videos and photographs in Mumbai.
According to the complaint filed by the woman, the incident took place on January 18, 2023, between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM when the woman was called to the company's office, where she was allegedly assaulted.
The woman runs a photo frame and gift business. On the day of the incident, she was called to the second floor of the office by one of the accused.
When she reached the office located on Dr E Moses Road, Mahalaxmi, one of the people present there, hit her on the shoulder and back with the butt of a revolver.
The key accused allegedly removed her burkha (veil) inside his cabin, held a revolver to her head, and forced her to remove all her clothes. He then took pictures and videos of her in undergarments only, as alleged by her in her complaint.
She was threatened that the videos and photos would be made viral if she refused to give a false statement. She was also warned that she would be framed in a false legal case and sent to jail.
A complaint was filed by the NM Joshi Marg Police Station based on her statements against six senior pharma officials under sections 354A, 354B, 326, 509, 506, and IT Act 66A.
Meanwhile, a pharma official also filed a complaint in response to her complaint, alleging mental anguish.
A further investigation into the case is underway.
