Mrunal Thakur Cancels All Plans To Watch Usha Uthup Live: ‘Everyone Else Can Wait’
Mrunal Thakur ended up cancelling her plans to watch Usha Uthup’s live performance. The actress went to the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, where the veteran singer took the stage for a performance. Although the actress had other plans,
she could not simply miss this opportunity.
During an interview with Times of India, the Do Deewane Seher Mein star revealed her experience of watching Usha Uthup live.
“Surreal To Witness Her Live," Says Mrunal Thakur
Before talking about her experience, Mrunal Thakur recalled the time when she got an opportunity to shoot a commercial with Usha Uthup. Mrunal shared, “Usha ma’am is fantastic! I was fortunate enough to work with her on a saree
commercial a few months back, and there’s so much I learned from her on that set."
Recalling a special memory, she added, “During the time we spent working on the ad, she sang a song for me, Flowers by Miley Cyrus, because I’m a flower child and I just love flowers."
Mrunal continued, “She dedicated that song to me on set. And tonight, it was surreal to just witness her live. When Usha Uthup is on stage, you just have to be there!" She further added, “Today was just like a treat. I’m just so
happy that I was here to promote my film."
The actress shared that when she came to know Usha Uthup was performing, she decided to stay back for a while. “I was actually going to be here for 15 minutes, but I ended up being here for the entire show! I cancelled all my plans.
And I was like, Everyone else can wait!" She said, adding, “When she is performing, you have to just enjoy. And the happiness she spreads is unbelievable. She is a living legend."
Mrunal Thakur’s spontaneous decision to cancel her plans and stay back to enjoy the performance and dancing among other fans became one of the most joyful highlights of the evening.
Mrunal Thakur on the Work Front
The actress is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Do Deewane Seher Mein. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead role alongside Mrunal Thakur. The film is set to hit the theatres on February
20.
