MP Board 5th, 8th Exam Pattern: Beginning in the 2025-26 academic session, Madhya Pradesh will follow a board pattern for Class 5th and 8th examinations, running from February 20th to February 28th, 2026. Students from government, non-government, and madrasa schools statewide will participate.
The State Education Centre has issued comprehensive guidelines, establishing 12,920 exam centres to accommodate around 25 lakh students. This year, approximately 24.9 lakh students from 110,615 government and private schools and madrasas will appear for the exams, including students from 86,109 government schools, 23,980 non-government schools, and 525 madrasas.
Special arrangements include separate question papers for language subjects based on the NCERT syllabus for 20,736 students of 522 private schools to ensure appropriate evaluation.
A dedicated portal will digitise and ensure transparency in the exam process, managing student verification, exam centre determination, centre head mapping, exam material distribution, roll number and admit card issuance, attendance marking, answer sheet evaluation, and mark sheet issuance.
The State Education Centre believes that the board pattern will instil discipline, enhance evaluation understanding, and better prepare students for competitive exams from an early age.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has issued the classes 10th and 12th board exam 2026 admit cards. Students must have their admit card to enter the exam centre. For all updates regarding the MP Board Exam 2026, visit the official website, mpbse.mponline.gov.in. Candidates must bring the admit card signed and officially sealed by the school principal to enter the examination hall. The school will affix the principal's seal, making the card valid at the examination centre.
The MP Board Exam 2026 will start in February — the class 12 exams will commence on February 10 and class 10 on February 13. If students find any mistakes in their name, date of birth, or subject, they must contact their school principal immediately. Corrections can be made online through your school login. An admit card with incorrect information can cause issues at the exam centre.
