Mother-In-Law Threatens With Slipper As Aligarh Neta’s Wife Accuses Him Of Assault In Police Station: ‘Mujhko Touch Na…’
A tense domestic dispute was out in public after a BJP Yuva Morcha leader and his wife were brought to a police station in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh following a heated argument.
According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the incident took place on Sunday, January 11, in Aligarh's Gudia Bagh area during a religious event. BJP Yuva Morcha leader Gaurang Tiwari and his wife got into a dispute in public.
His wife has alleged that she was beaten by him in full public view. After the police received information, officers from Delhi Gate police station reached the spot and took both husband and wife to the police station for questioning. Inside the police station, Gaurang was reportedly seated on a chair in the station-in-charge's office while his wife and her mother were asked to wait outside. That is when things took a sharp turn.
Caught On Camera: Chaos Inside Aligarh Police Station
A video that has surfaced online shows the woman entering the police station office while recording on her mobile phone. Seeing her husband sitting on a chair instead of being locked up, she becomes visibly angry.
In the video, a female police officer is seen trying to stop her and even touching her while doing so. The woman can be heard saying, “Mujhe touch karne ki koshish na kare. Ye log eska sath dene ke liye aaye hai. Mai ek pidita hu (Do not try to touch me. These people have come to support him. I am a victim)."
Another woman, believed to be Gaurang's mother-in-law, who was standing nearby, also lost control. In the video, she is seen pulling out her slipper and gesturing as if she is about to throw it at Gaurang while also shouting abuses at him.

Why Did The Woman And Her Mother Lose Their Temper?
As per the report, the woman was furious because she believed that even after allegedly assaulting her, Gaurang was being treated gently by the police instead of being put behind bars.
The wife accused both the police and people present at the station of trying to protect her husband and blaming her instead.
What Were People At The Police Station Saying?
Some people inside the police station tried to calm things down. They called it a husband-wife issue and asked both sides to settle it peacefully, Dainik Bhaskar reported. A few were also seen taking Gaurang's side which only made the woman more upset.
She insisted that even though she was the one who had been allegedly assaulted, the system was favouring the accused instead of the victim.
What Is Gaurang Tiwari's Version Of Events?
Gaurang has denied the allegations. According to the report, he said that problems began soon after the marriage in 2023. According to him, his wife and her family started harassing him and the matter even went to court in 2024.
He has also alleged that his in-laws have been demanding money in the name of a settlement.
Regarding Sunday's incident, Gaurang says that his wife and her family members were the ones who assaulted him during the religious procession not the other way around.

What Are The Police Saying Now?
The station in-charge has said that the matter is under investigation and that it is a dispute between a husband and wife. It is also not yet clear if a case has been registered against anyone in the incident.
