House to house visits for electoral roll revision begin November 4 in Bengal. Trinamool Congress leaders are calling it NRC and discussing detention camps. Opposition parties claim this is misinformation. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will protest the revision on November 4 in Kolkata.
Kolkata: At a time when House to House visit by Block Level Officers (BLOs) with Enumeration forms, one of the most crucial part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bengal, is scheduled to start on November 4, political slugfest is at its peak with Trinamool Congress leaders referring to SIR as NRC and talking about detention camps.
However, the Opposition Congress, CPI-M and BJP claim Trinamool has deliberately started mis-information campaign about NRC to mislead people about SIR.
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, along with Abhishek Banerjee, will hit the streets of Kolkata on November 4 to protest against the SIR.
