Bihar elections Mahagathbandhan manifesto: The Mahagathbandhan alliance, led by Tejashwi Yadav, has unveiled its election manifesto, 'Bihar Ka Tejashwi Prann,' promising a government job for every family. The document outlines commitments to transforming Bihar's governance and economy, focusing on employment, social welfare, and infrastructure development to ensure dignity and opportunities for all citizens.
Mahagathbandhan leaders on Tuesday released their election manifesto titled Bihar Ka Tejashwi Prann ahead of the Bihar Legislative Assembly polls, making several promises including one government job for each family.
The alliance leaders said the document outlines their commitment to transforming Bihar's governance and economy while ensuring dignity, security, and opportunities for every citizen.
At the launch event, senior leaders of the Mahagathbandhan were present, projecting a united front ahead of the elections. They stated that the manifesto focuses on employment generation, social welfare, and strengthening public infrastructure. Further, CPI(ML) Liberation leader Dipankar Bhattacharya said that INDIA bloc manifesto talks about employment, introduction of Old Pension Scheme.

“Our goal is to free Bihar from the misrule of BJP-JDU and provide every Bihari with respect, security, facilities, and appropriate opportunities,” the alliance stated in its declaration.
Key highlights of Mahagathbandhan Bihar manifesto:
One government job for a member of each family within 20 days of the Mahagathbandhan forming the government.
Permanent appointment of all women working as Jeevika community mobilisers as government employees with a monthly salary of ₹30,000 and debt relief on their loans. Additionally, women under this category will receive ₹2,000 monthly as honorarium.
Regularisation of contractual and outsourced workers across departments.
Development of industrial and economic hubs such as IT parks, food parks, health hubs, logistics hubs, and tourism clusters to attract investments and generate employment.
Establishment of five new export promotion zones, including agro-industrial and textile clusters.
Reintroduction of the Old Pension Scheme for government employees.
Monthly financial aid of ₹2,500 for women under the Bhai-Behan Maan Yojana, and ₹30,000 annual assistance for the next five years. Special schemes like BETI and MAI will ensure financial and social security for daughters.
Expansion of the social security pension, raising monthly benefits from ₹1,500 to ₹3,000.
Free electricity up to 200 units for all households.
A proposed law to curb crimes and harassment against women during pregnancy and childbirth.
Congress leader Pawan Khera also vowed to get Bihar 'back on track.' "The Mahagathbandhan was the first to announce its chief ministerial candidates. It also released its manifesto first...This shows who is serious about Bihar... We decided from day one what we would do for Bihar...We have to get Bihar back on track...Today is a very auspicious day as the state of Bihar was waiting for this 'pran'," he said.
Speaking at the launch, Mahagathbandhan CM candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that the INDIA bloc manifesto is a roadmap for development of Bihar, resolution to make state number one. "Not only do we have to form the government in Bihar, we also have to make a new Bihar... The Mahagathbandhan alliance has released the Sankalp Patra for Bihar..."

The 243-member Bihar assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results set to be announced on November 14.
The Mahagathbandhan alliance comprises the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the Indian National Congress (INC) and left-wing parties, including the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation -CPIML (Liberation) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)).
The manifesto comes after Mahagathbandhan's announcement of Tejashwi Yadav as the face of the opposition alliance for the polls. Mukesh Sahani, who heads the Vikassheel Insaan Pary (VIP), has been named as the Deputy CM nominee from the Mahagathbandhan.
