NBA Round-up: Luka Doncic Shines With Historic Triple-Double; Wemby Gets Halted By Suns

Luka Dončić put on another show under the bright lights of L.A., dropping 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists to power the Lakers past the high-flying Miami Heat on Sunday.

It was Dončić's 83rd career triple-double, placing him alongside Wilt Chamberlain in NBA history. His 165 points through four games are also the most since Chamberlain's legendary 1962-63 start.

Austin Reaves added 26 points and 11 assists, while Jake LaRavia poured in 25 as the Lakers shot a blistering 50.5% from the field. Jaime Jaquez Jr. led the Heat with 31 off the bench, but Miami's explosive offense fell short in a 125-113 loss.

Booker, Brunson, and Maxey Dominate the Night

In Phoenix, Devin Booker posted 28 points and 13 assists as the Suns dismantled the Spurs 131-118, handing rookie Victor Wembanyama his first career loss. Wemby managed just nine points and six turnovers as Phoenix built a 31-point cushion.

In New York, Jalen Brunson erupted for 31 points, including 19 in the first quarter, to snap the Knicks' three-game skid and halt Chicago's unbeaten start. The Knicks rained down 20 threes in a 128-116 win, while Josh Giddey's triple-double (23-12-12) went in vain for the Bulls.

76ers, Thunder, and Raptors Keep Rolling

Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 29 points before leaving with a sprained ankle as the 76ers cruised past winless Brooklyn 129-105. Tyrese Maxey added 26, while Philly rested Joel Embiid and still shot 52%.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stayed red-hot, tallying 30 points as the Thunder moved to 7-0, matching Oscar Robertson with his 79th straight 20-point game — a streak surpassed only by Chamberlain.

In Toronto, RJ Barrett's 27 led the Raptors past Memphis 117-104, while Scottie Barnes stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, and five blocks.
