An incident linked to Lucknow has drawn widespread attention online after visuals showed a woman behaving irresponsibly on a public road. What stood out for viewers was not just her conduct but the police marking visible on the scooter she was seated on which immediately raised questions.
The clip, shared across social media platforms, is believed to be connected to Uttar Pradesh's capital as the scooter's number plate carries a Lucknow RTO code. While the exact location has not been officially confirmed, the markings on the vehicle became the main reason the video caught public attention.
Police Tag On Scooter Becomes Key Point
In the video, a woman is seen sitting on a scooter parked on the road while drinking from a flask. She appears to be in an inebriated state and continues to drink while remaining seated on the vehicle. The scooter has “Police" written on its front.
The police marking led many viewers to assume that the vehicle might be linked to a police official.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), where a user tagged the official account of Lucknow Police. The post carried a sarcastic caption that read, “Dear Lucknow Police, please check if she is from your department, as the scooty is marked Police, she seems tired, and exhausted, needs long leave to get freshened up."

Users Ask Lucknow Police To Verify Scooter
As the video circulated online, several people urged the police to verify whether the scooter belonged to the department or if the police marking was being misused.
One user commented, “Dear Lucknow Police, if this scooty marked ‘Police' is from your department, drinking on a public road is a serious violation and a major road safety risk. Such acts set a wrong example. Kindly verify and take appropriate action in the interest of public safety."
Another suggested, “She is not from the police department. There is trend now a days in India. If uncle or aunty or XYZ is in police then that whole family will mention on their vehicles police sticker so that no one comes near to them."
Someone else wrote, “The uniform and the name ‘Police' do not constitute a license to relieve fatigue or break the law. If they are from the department, it is essential to follow the rules, and if not, roaming around with ‘Police' written on them is a crime in itself. Please investigate and take appropriate action."
“No helmet. No high security number plate. No challan as she has the Police logo which is illegal to be put on personal vehicles," an individual pointed out.
